The product of two parents who did not finish high school, she was a shy introverted young girl who loved school. Without the resources growing up, she dreamed of traveling. The college seed would be planted in her heart by a high school teacher. By the time she finished graduate school she would come out of her shell and become an elementary school teacher when she would recognized an unmet need.
